Getting Started

What is TermSignals?

TermSignals is a contract renewal tracking software designed for small and mid-sized businesses. It helps you track contract renewal dates, notice periods, and sends automated email alerts before deadlines pass—preventing surprise auto-renewals.

How long does it take to set up?

Most users are up and running in under 10 minutes. You can add contracts manually or import them via CSV. No technical setup required—just create an account and start adding your contracts.

Do I need to install any software?

No. TermSignals is a web-based application that works in any modern browser. There's nothing to install or configure on your computer.

Can I import my existing contracts from a spreadsheet?

Yes! TermSignals supports CSV import. Export your contracts from Excel, Google Sheets, or any other tool, and upload the CSV file. Our import wizard helps you map columns to the right fields.

Features & Functionality

How do the email alerts work?

TermSignals sends automated email alerts to team admins at configurable intervals—typically 90, 60, and 30 days before notice deadlines. You can customize these intervals in your settings. Alerts include contract details, deadline dates, and direct links to review.

What's the difference between renewal date and notice deadline?

The renewal date is when your contract actually renews. The notice deadline is the last day you can cancel or make changes before auto-renewal kicks in. TermSignals tracks both, but focuses alerts on notice deadlines since that's when you need to act.

Can I track contracts without renewal dates?

Yes. You can mark contracts as 'non-recurring' for one-time agreements or contracts that don't auto-renew. These will still appear in your contract list but won't generate renewal alerts.

What reports are available?

TermSignals provides dashboard analytics showing upcoming renewals by timeframe (30/60/90 days), total exposure amounts, and contract counts. You can also export your full contract list to CSV for finance reviews or audits.

Pricing & Plans

How much does TermSignals cost?

TermSignals offers three plans: Starter at $19/month (up to 25 contracts, 1 user), Professional at $49/month (up to 100 contracts, 10 users), and Business at $99/month (unlimited contracts and users). Annual billing saves you 2 months.

Is there a free trial?

Yes! All plans include a free demo with pre-loaded sample contracts so you can explore the product. You can also add your own contracts right away. No credit card required to start. Upgrade to a paid plan anytime.

Can I change plans later?

Absolutely. You can upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time. If you upgrade, you'll be charged the prorated difference. If you downgrade, the new rate applies at your next billing cycle.

What happens if I exceed my contract limit?

You won't be able to add new contracts until you upgrade to a higher plan or remove existing contracts. Your existing contracts and alerts continue to work normally.

Team & Collaboration

Can I invite team members?

Yes, on Professional and Business plans. You can invite team members via email and assign them roles. Admins can add/edit contracts and manage settings. Viewers can see contracts and reports but not make changes.

Who receives the email alerts?

Email alerts are sent to all team admins in your organization. This ensures the right people—typically operations, finance, or procurement leads—are notified about upcoming deadlines.

Can different team members manage different contracts?

Currently, all team members with access can see all contracts in the organization. We're working on more granular permissions for a future release.

Security & Data

Is my data secure?

Yes. TermSignals uses industry-standard encryption (TLS/SSL) for all data in transit and at rest. We're built on Supabase, which provides enterprise-grade security including row-level security and SOC 2 compliance.

Can I export my data?

Yes. You can export your full contract list to CSV at any time. Your data belongs to you.

What happens to my data if I cancel?

If you cancel your subscription, your account becomes read-only. You can still log in and export your data. After 90 days of inactivity, data may be deleted. We'll send reminders before any deletion.
